Students
Students of all ages have the opportunity to learn about our animals and the shelter outside of the classroom, and it hopefully makes a lasting difference in the lives of both the students and the animals. Teachers are encouraged to request tours at the shelter or have our staff and animals visit in person at the school.
General and Business Volunteering
Want to spend a day out of the office for a fun or utilize your employers volunteer benefit? Have a little extra time during that day off? Stop on in and let's get you started!
We'll give you a tour of the facility and go over our shelter needs before you start your volunteer activity.
Foster
Some of our animals feel more comfortable in a home environment. We supply our foster volunteers with food for the animal and ask that you provide the necessary care and attention. If interested, please ask us about the process for becoming a foster volunteer. Fosters are always needed for bottle babies, socialization, special medical cases, house and leash training along with basic obedience training.
Events
With many events scheduled throughout the year, volunteers are needed to help with those events. From bake sales, adoption events, helping at the shelter, community give away, and more, volunteers are a huge part of the shelter success.
In April 2022, we held an appreciation dinner for our volunteers and staff to say thank you for all their hard work, dedication and compassion for the animals. Volunteers are such a huge asset to shelters everywhere and without them, a lot of a shelters success would not be possible. Volunteers help with events, foster, clean the shelter and so much more.
